Ertan ÇAKIR

Ertan Çakır has over 40 years of experience in senior leadership positions with global petroleum industry leaders, including Shell and Turkey’s market leader, Petrol Ofisi, gaining extensive expertise at both companies. During his 25-year tenure at Shell Turkey, he held roles ranging from Field Manager to Retail Sales Director, and from Country Executive Board Member to Business Development Director for Mediterranean Countries based in Madrid, Spain. He also served as Business Integration Manager during the Shell-Turcas merger.After departing from Shell in 2006, Çakır joined the Board of Directors at Petrol Ofisi and, as of July 2007, continued his career as Deputy General Manager in charge of Retail Sales. During this period, he also chaired the Board of Directors of Cyprus Turkish Petroleum. From 2012 to 2019, he held positions as Deputy Chairman of the Board at Metro Holding and General Manager at Bpet.Throughout his career, Çakır has played a pivotal role in driving profitability, balance sheet management, product development, fuel import, storage and logistics, as well as developing merger and acquisition strategies, strategic pricing, portfolio management, and best practices implementation.
